How does this drive compare to the Samsung 830 or the Crucial M4?
samsung fastest, then m4, then sandisk extreme
basically you get what you pay for, also google is your friend, just search for "drive 1 vs. drive 2"
you want to pay attention to 4k read speeds mostly since that is what matters
I also have to point out that all three drives are very fast, it will be hard to actually notice any real world performance difference
if you are upgrading from a mechanical hard drive, any SSD will speed up your system a lot
there's also the "issue" with reliability, historically speaking sandforce controllers are bad, also, marvell, indilinx, "samsungs own controller" are generally better and more reliable
sandisk = SF, not saying that it's bad though since I have been usign two SF drives for ~2 years without any problems, the kingston HyperX series is also very reliable and they all run SF controllers, read the reviews, YMMV depending on manufacturers and drives.
