My 2nd remote was on the door step when I arrived home last night. I checked my bank account and I think they got it correct but sure to the long way to get there. The day of the sale I paid for one for istore pickup, they charged me the $148, the store then refunded that and recharged me the $50 it was supposed to be when I picked it up. I had also ordered a second for home delivery. About a week later there is a credit of $90 from best buy and a week after that the charge of $148 (probably charged when shipped). So moral of the story, if you had your remote shipped home and see a charge of $148 in the last few days, but no credit, look back a week or two and see if they refunded the credit before they even made the charge. I'm thinking if I'd have canceled in the last week, bestbuy would have given me $90 for free

I managed to pick up one in store and they shipped me the one on backorder the other day. I'm using the found in store one and it has the rubber back on it (came in the new black box though). The charger though looks like the newer one as I don't see a switch to turn off the light on it anywhere.
So, other one is sitting sealed and unopened. I checked with the parents and they don't want one (sigh, I swear, they'll NEVER use that surround sound system I bought them) so guess I have one to sell in Kansas City (no, not for Best Buy price mistake prices). :

I ordered one online on June 8 for in store pickup at the $149 price paying with Paypal.
On June 9 I got the 'pricing error' email where I was supposed to pick it up and they would then adjust the price to the $49 with a credit showing on my credit card in a few days after pickup. Days past the pickup I called in asking about the credit and was told 'they would look into it' Days later - another call - same story. On Wednesday - another call - and the fellow wanted me to email in the Best Buy pricing error email - so I did. Today I called in - retold my story and after 20 minutes on hold - I got disconnected. I called back - and after another 10 minutes on hold the rep. came back to tell me they were crediting the order on Paypal. That was confirmed seconds later by a Paypal email. Lots of work for a remote - I hope it works properly!! |

I've got to give credit to Best Buy...not many other companies would contact you after your order had been rejected offering to sell it to you at the "incorrect" price... |

I picked up two. One in store and one on-line.
I was able to pick up a warranty on the in-store purchase when I bought it 3 weeks ago. When I picked up my online order, it rang up at 49.99 only after the cust service rep searched all over the store to find it. I was late, so I didn't try to get the warranty. I was by the mall today, so I tried to see if I could add the warranty for the 7.99 price. I've read that others have had problems doing so. I tried first in the home theater area for the warranty. They were willing to add, but it was going to be at the 29.99 price. At his suggestion, I tried customer service. Customer service was able to offer the warranty at 7.99 (after price adjusting the price). It was quite easy to facilitate the transaction. Just an FYI for those that have been shut down in the past. By the way, this is the only time I've ever seen the customer service area completely void of people. With it being July 4th, everyone else must be out on the lake. |

to anyone still having trouble with refunds, (I was getting no where calling 800-best-buy or emailing them from the website); If you email Facebook@BestBuy.com and forward them the email promising the credit they will refund you $90 within a day or so (did for two of my orders). They didn't refund the tax difference but at this point I'm putting a fork in it.
