Have you used a Logitech Harmony? I don't think there's a device that it doesn't work on (that takes a regular remote that is). They even work on a generic video switcher on meritline (never tried it, but was considering buying it at one time and saw it listed as a device for the remote). You don't program them as a normal universal remote. You plug it into your computer and program it. The Logitech software has programming for just about everything and should be able to update for new devices. The remotes take a little getting used to (when we have someone babysit at our house, it has always been a chore teaching them how to use the remote), and some tinkering around with the programming to get things where you want them, but once you figure it out you'll never want to go back. I almost wish I had $50 to spare as I'd buy another one (I think I spent $30 on a deal for a lesser model several years ago, but have never seen such a deal since).

I can confirm that when you call, the representative is over-riding the price. I was on hold for about 12 minutes before speaking with a rep. She said she has had lots of calls for these already. I did receive my confirmation email with the corrected price ($52.79).

Put in a pre-order, the rep I called did not adjust on the fly, but did say they would enter notes for the store to adjust once I pick up the item.

Sounds good!! Thanks a lot for the detailed info. SD is a great place to shop, well, check before you shop.

I know the half of my devices that didn't work before are cheap brand names you get from places like meritline, so if this is going to work with a meritline product, it will work on mine.
