False Advertisement. Do they have to still honor it?

BJs Warehouse has the Ninja Pulse Blender in their coupons with the regular price stating $69.99 minus their $14.00 coupon = $55.99 Final Cost. However the picture is of the NInja Professional Blender, not the Ninja Pulse. I went there not reading the name of the blender and just grabbed the one shown in the picture.. the Ninja Professional. When I got home the receipt showed $129.99 original price.

I called customer service and they said they would take the $14.00 off but that is it. Do they have to honor it because it shows the picture of the item?

However, my few years in retail taught me that if you complain enough to corporate, retailers will do anything. Worst case, just return it. How did you not notice the price at the register?

LOL. I normally shop alone so I can price everything. What threw me off is I took my husband AND two kids so they threw things in the cart I normally do not buy. And add impatient kids on a weekend = not checking the receipt until I got home and consumed a glass of wine.

No they do not. If the written info like stock number and such was for the other blender, that is what they have to sell you at 69.99. Your best bet would be to try and pricematch to the picture at another store and hope they also don't pay attention to details.

Also, as someone mentioned, retailers don't have to honor mistakes and errors in printing. It's only false advertising if you can prove that it was done on purpose to mislead the public.

Besides, they had the correct product listed and you failed to read it. I have degrees in both animal behaviorism and psychology and have come to the conclusion that animals make a hell of a lot more sense than people.

Not false advertising. Just about every ad/flyer I have seen usually says "picture is for representation only" or something to that effect. Someone probably used the wrong graphic, or they didn't have a picture of the cheaper model.

And by googling "Ninja Professional", you are getting ripped off even if they give you $14 off. It seems to be $99.99 at most stores (Bed Bath & Beyond, Macy's...). Just return it and buy the correct one, or buy the pro. one somewhere else.
