It's discontinued, they're clearing it out. Good beer BTW.

The lager is fairly good for what it is and the I want to say two of the other types were ok, but I remember one style being particularly bad. It was either the pale ale or the IPA

Yeah my dad got a case and didn't like it so I got most of the case. It was in my fridge forever and beer doesn't usually last long in my fridge.

I have beer in my basement from 2009 - and it's still there because it's getting better with age.

These, on the other hand, are at their best within 2-3 months of bottling. And given that they're pretty mediocre beers in the first place, I'd say that if they're on sale due to nearing their best by date, then they're probably not worth the $10.

Depends on the beer, how fresh it was when you bought it... but generally, if you store it in a cool, dark place, several months shouldn't be an issue. I've had wine go sour upstairs from a couple days of heat, so all alcohol goes in the basement now during the summer.

Actually, I'll tell you what, when I was in Maryland at the end of last July, I bought a case of Dogfish Rasion D'etre, and I still have a sixpack of it left. The most recent one I had was at most a month ago and it was fine. So, that's about 10 months right there.


This looks like a good deal, I don't mind trying this for $10 if I can find it. All the good beer around where I live is about 9+ for a 6-pack... except for what Trader Joe's sells. KBC (Kennebunkport Brewing Company) make some excellent beer for the money ($6/6-pack)

I don't care for the IPA either but I don't like IPAs in general. Too bitter from the hops. IPA's were developed to solve the problem of getting beer to English soldiers in India before it went bad. The addition of hops helps to destroy the microbes in beer that make it go bad and this adds the bitter taste. Some people really appreciate it, I don't.

Generally, this is the issue with getting a variety pack with a diverse selection. If you like the Belgian White you are probably going to hate the IPA.

Sorry that you had a bad experience with it. I would not serve store brand "Kirkland" at a party because no one would know what it was and probably avoid it. Usually go name brand for those types of events. If you are going to do that you need to pass them around and get people to try it. Probably not going to go over well with bud drinkers but people who drink Sam Adams and other more complex beers might like a few of these styles of craft beers.
