friend of mine got one in houston, was the LG 55LM6700 , $1099 deal (if you called on it, they'll quote you $1499 on the phone.. so probably why this was a no go on amazon PM)
I've advised them to not unbox it till we see what fry's has for July 4th,,, my guess is fry's will have either the same deal, or a better deal (which has happened the last few years) fry's says there's no restocking fees if returned in 30 days, but not risking it on the unbox not a selling point, but the blu ray player actually has an hdmi cable in it.. only took them like 3+ yrs to figure out, that they should include a $1 part also, do a squaretrade policy for $999 on the tv for $109 (or less if you can get a 30% off code).. vs fry's same extended for $180 to $200 Last edited by jjj444yes; 06-16-2012 at 10:49 AM.. Lg lm 8600 47"
Product Updates- LG LM 8600 47" arrived yesterday. It came in a LG box. It was sealed with a clear tape and somewhat loosely sealed. TV- 1. Its good no bleeding or clouding at all 2. It has some dead pixels on the right corner and looks like it was pressed . It was visible more yesterday and was reduced when checked today, so i suppose it will get fixed by itself if not then I might think of replacing. 3. Was unable to connect to the internet using Lan and wiffi and after that my internet died so I don't know if its a issue with the TV or internet. 4. 2D to 3D conversion good 5. TV Speakers are really good and very loud 6. Not much glossy as mentioned by many. 7. Love the magic remote. 8. One problem I noticed was for cable the while surfing channels it goes from 0,1,2,3... -12 and back to 0 and then for the second time it goes properly i mean 0,1,2...-12,13,14... I noticed this every time I surf channels. I might re-tune the TV to check if the problem exists. 9. Overall awesome TV and totally worth the price. |
