Lots of cute stuff! Some of the special occasion shoes are as low as $9.99! A lot of times the items are available at your local store for the same price as shown online. You may call to see if they have an item in stock, that way you can save on shipping. I was able to get this blusher for $15 by calling the store Smilie

I would advise anyone who's actually serious about getting married to stay away from David's Bridal. I see a lot of problems that people have with their wedding days (I do some wedding photography and my wife does planning), and more often than not, I am hearing people complaining how David's Bridal screwed up their dress or their alterations, etc etc. Keep in mind that though they allow returns of completely pristine items (never worn, with tags, etc the usual), they will not accept any returns on clearance items, sale items, or anything that's been tailored (by them or otherwise). Return policy can be found here [davidsbridal.com].

In short, spend a little more at a local bridal shop where people know what they're doing and they have terms that are reasonable. It'll save you a LOT of headache.

However, if you're buying this just to have it, this is a great opportunity. Buy something you like now and get it tailored later!

1) 99% of those who complain about Davids Bridal are looking for a dream wedding on a wal-mart budget, then cant believe they arent waited on hand and foot like they're on a tv show or something.

2) DB keeps prices low by selling off the rack - if it's in stock, thats the one youre buying/getting. Know this going in, someone else may have tried on your dress.

3) Expecting them to accept returns on altered dresses is unrealistic.

I agree with most of what you're saying. However, #2 is NOT correct. I bought my dress there and they absolutely DO NOT give you your dress off the rack. You obviously try on what they have in store, and what's in stock. However, when you find the dress you want, they order a brand new, never been worn dress. Do you really think they would give you a dress off the rack, that hundreds, if not thousands of people have tried on?!

Completely agreed. My fiance had a crappy experience with them, plus they sold her info to other companies and she now gets a lot of spam calls and texts. You have to sign their stupid form if you want to try anything on, it's ridiculous.

This, although they did try to sell a dirty dress right off the rack to my fiance.

Thumbs down, because the quality of their dresses is crap and customer service was atrocious.

I would agree with you, but the story that I remember that really put me off David's Bridal was where a bride ordered her dress, but when it was delivered, it had some manufacturing issues. She took it to the store and they told her that they would "fix it". After she got it back, she saw that fixing it meant altering it to essentially look like it was supposed to in the first place. However, it was not done well and made the dress uncomfortable! She tried to return the dress but was told she couldn't because it was altered. So she was stuck with a dress that she ended up taking elsewhere to be re-altered and paying a lot more than she should have.

It might be an isolated incident, but when you keep hearing the same thing, it makes you wonder!
