You Won - Playstation 3 + Iron Man Movies

Finally just posting this now! I had been wondering, "how many of these giveaways have I entered" Then I thought one week; "crap, what if I won and I didn't know I had a private message saying so?" I signed up to be notified that I have a new private message; about 2 weeks later I'm checking my email and it says Slickdeals.net(2) - Private Messages. I'm thinking how do I have two and then I see a "You Won - Playstation 3 + Iron Man Movies" What? No way! but turns out.. Yes way!

A week or so later I get the PS3 and a few days after that the Iron Man movies on Bluray. So, I have one TV and already have a PS3 Slim that I mainly use to watch Blurays and 3D Blurays. I know, a good problem to have; (but it's still awesome to win !!!) to win a PS3 and not know what to do with it as you don't really have a need for it.

Two weeks prior to winning it, someone breaks into a friends house by pushing up a window and steals his PS3 Slim, Wii and a bunch of Wii games. So, after winning I'm thinking, "hmmm, I wonder if he already replaced his PS3" I casually ask him and he says, "well, I don't think I will because I may end up only using it as a bluray player (even though he has a few PS3 games) and it's too expensive for that." At that point my plan is hatched, it just so happens to be his birthday about two weeks after I win it. I don't normally get him much, I got him Mario Kart and some wheels for the Wii once; but generally we just don't give each other stuff. I wrap it up and take it with me to small party he's having on his birthday. At the end of the night he's opening it and says "A PS3??, that seems like a little excess." I've got it on video, but the video didn't really come out because it was dark in the room.

So, while I didn't need it, it just so happened I had a perfect situation to give it as a present! Of all the things I've seen go up for a Daily Giveaway I'd probably only really want a Tablet or maybe a Vita; otherwise I'd probably be giving away the giveaway! I'd say that's more fun, really!

I searched Daily Deal Alerts Summary in my Gmail and there are 612 emails dating back to 11/1/2010; isn't that when it started!? I'd say recently I get dual emails, one deal alert and one "New private message notification" so I bet I've entered at least 500 of these things, wow wouldn't have thought it was THAT many. The day I won, I think there was around 380,000 entries of which I probably had around 40 of.
