Well there are definitely reasons to choose the Radar over this. The Radar has double the data speed with HSPA+, font-facing camera, some extra sensor (a gyroscope or compass I believe,) it's thinner. It may also have a better screen. The Radar is S-LCD, the Surround may not be. The Radar is only 8GB though. Not sure if it can be upgraded the same way as the HTC Surround, but I know it doesn't have a card slot.

You wouldn't need an unlock code as this is an AT&T phone and you could just buy a AT&T sim from Straight Talk. I wouldn't do that though because, as far as I know, there is currently no way to get MMS working on a Windows Phone for a prepaid carrier. Correct me if I'm wrong.

EDIT: After doing some reading some of the newer Windows phones (focus flash, focus S, Lumia 800) can get MMS on Straight Talk sim but only because their manufactures provide tools to do so (ie. Samsung and Nokia) Microsoft is too stupid to put MMS settings in their OS. Bunch of morons! Mad

I would have bought a Windows Phone for use on ST but went with Android because you can change the MMS settings!

Thanks -- thought you needed unlock for Straight Talk. Yeah the MMS thing is on per-device basis. I know it's possible with my Dell Venue Pro, but it's in a hidden Engineering Mobile app.

I was wondering this too. I already have an ATT account, so can I just stick my current sim card in this phone? I don't currently have a data plan because I only use data when I'm going through a wifi hotspot or my home's wifi.
I have no idea what these "unlock codes" are and how you purchase and use them.
