i wonder what would happen if i order this and never picked it up from my store ? would someone else steal my item and i lose my money? can it be disputed?

22 miles round trip just for a $6 item x_X

I cant seem to order this my ionly option is "add to list" i dont get "add to cart" what am i doing wrong?

If there is no "add to cart" option in the window after clicking on the item, then it means your store has low or no stock.

You can check stock on the regular item page (the first link in the first post), by adding the item to cart at the $13.49 price. If it won't let you, your store either has no stock at all or only has one or two left, at which point they don't let you order it online in case someone buys it in store between the time you order it and the time they pull it.

In short, go to the store to buy it.

Follow the directions step by step.

1. On the sears.com main site, click on the "new local ad" link in the upper left.
2. Click on the weekly ad "go to" departments menu also in the upper left then choose the offers for "tools" at the bottom of the menu, and the utility knife set should be there for $6.15
3. Click on the picture and it should give you the option to "add to cart", even though it says "in-store offer only", with in-store pickup as the only option.
With the additional 15% off tools current promo, the final price in cart is $5.53.

Still going...

I just picked mine up from the store. These utility knives are really nice. They've got a nice grip, and the blade slides back and forth smoothly. The ones that fold back scare me as I'm accident-prone with any sharp instrument. Replacing the blade is a cinch. I only wish they would have included a few replacement blades, but they shouldn't be difficult to find.

What is so special about this knife compared to something like this [lowes.com] at Lowes or everywhere else you can buy for $1 or $2? Seems it will have better grip because it's larger and wider compared to the Craftsman.

The cheap ones are a pain to replace the blade. First off, you need a screwdriver. With my Stanley-branded utility knife, the sliding mechanism comes loose when you take out that screw, and you have to hold it together just so as you put it back together. With the Craftsman knife, you just press a button, and the old blade is released. You just slide in a new blade, and it locks in place. Yeah, I suppose I could buy a few of the cheap ones for 1 Craftsman and trash them when the blade gets dull, but it's not exactly environment friendly. In the long run, the blades can be found very cheap once you find a good knife.

Gotcha. I like that it's easy to replace the blade without the need of an additional tool. Thank you for the detailed comparison.
