The Father's Day ad was already leaked. FREE phones with new contracts. Forgot whether it said free for upgrades too.

ps: unfortunately, TMO isn't releasing the Galaxy S III until the following week, too late for this deal

How does it compare to COntracct free Google Nexus?

T-Mobile rep also confirmed next weekend's free phones promo to me a couple of days ago.

If you want to compare two phones, check a site like phonescoop.

T-Mobile basically has several different service levels, on and off contract. You have to determine if a free phone with a 2year contract is worth it compared to buying your own phone and getting a cheaper non-contract rate.

The Nexus is a great phone but not a model I considered. I am not fond of the HTC One series personally as I want a removable battery and SD card.

ugh... SG3 is not any better than htc one x. SG3 is even at best compare to htc 1 x and i am not a big fan of samsung bandwidth sucking widgets, so HTC it is for me!

T-Mobile is now selling the phone for $50 after mail in rebates and other discounts. Looks like it's for new activations only.

I have had multiple T-mobile retailers (corporate store + Costco kiosk) confirm that all phones will be free (maybe involving a MIR).
