I've been buying the sears powder detergent that goes on sale every now and then and had great results.

I buy off brand liquid laundry detergents and they work just fine. I stopped using powdered laundry detergents a long time ago when I lived in apartment because I ended up with laundry that had power on it. Supposedly today's water saving washing machines are prone to do that.

i bought some off brand liquid detergent on a whim at big lots. it was a very large bottle for like $4-5, that if it was tide or cheers at any place else would've cost over $9. it smells good, and get's my stuff clean.

The best deals are the Sears powdered mega boxes that pop up ocassionally

Tide is anti-itchy so if the cheap stuff makes you itch then you should change.

I thought Off was a brand of insect repellent, not laundry detergent.
