I just bought a Hisense 42' LED tv at Walmart for $368. Comparing the quality of the display with other brands there on display, I considered it very good, better than most and comparable to some much more expensive ones. But, like most of the posters here, I was skeptical. Hisense??? Never heard of it... So I went home, looked up reviews, found most consumer reviews to have very favorable ratings. Then I looked up the company, found out that it started in 1969 making radios, and that it has or has had joint development and production agreements with Hitachi and Whirlpool. To me, sounds like for my $368 I am getting more of a pedigree than many other brands out there.
