It's actually been as low as $5 back during the last winter sale and will probably hit that spot again during the summer sale in about two weeks. Still an excellent value, though. For anyone that's new to PC gaming, this bundle is as perfect a place to start as there is.

In the tradition of half life, half life 2 was pretty revolutionary when it came out. If you haven't played it, I'd recommend buying this just for the one title. Everything else is just a bonus.

TF2 is free-to-play technically, but if you activate this you'll get the premium version which gives you some nice perks (more info here [teamfortress.com]). Portal is Portal - one of the best puzzle games ever made. I think it goes on sale around $2.50, so all said this is definitely a good deal.

Single player only. It's a first person puzzle game where you use portals and gravity to get past obstacles and such. It's also very funny and entertaining.

Thanks! I haven't played episode 1 and 2 either (Stopped gaming significantly after HL2)....I'll probably go for this one..

How about TF2? Is that like Counter Strike or something?

TF2 is different than CS. TF2 uses classes more (Medic, Soldier, Engineer, etc) which each one having a 'role' if you will in supporting the team's objectives.
