Had this last year and feel the quality is subpar now.

Speaking of lobster my local Chinese supermarket has lobster for 5.99 a pound

if only one of the entrees at Red Lobster actually included some sort of lobster, I'd be all over this deal.

I ate there last night and it was sort of blah. You get a little cup of soup (I couldn't find any clams in my clam chowder) with a little salad and a limited number of entrees. The desert was good. I was disappointed. There is no way on earth that is was worth $50.

My wife and I went to Red Lobster about 6months ago. We never dine at these chain food, but I wanted to try the good old taste that I remembered from my teen years. Dragged my wife and ordered few dishes from their entree.

My wife is not allergic to seafood nor lobster but her lips swelled up so bad that even the waiter and managers panicked. They must use some cheap cultured lobster from BP oil spillage with high iodine content.

Not bashing RL, but personally, I wouldn't eat their even if it's free.

My sister and I went to Red Lobster recently because we both were craving their rolls. We both ordered this deal, but it was $14.99 at the northern Indiana location we went to. And instead of the doughnut bites as a choice, we had Apple Crostada with Caramel Drizzle.

Food Review (of the stuff we ordered):

-Clam Chowder - Our soups tasted very good; not too salty.
-Caesar Salad - My romaine lettuce had a few tips of lettuce that were rotting. Ate a few bites before I saw that. Yuck. Had a stomach ache later that day, for the rest of the day. Not fun. vomit
- Shrimp and Scallops Alfredo - My sister couldn't finish her Alfredo. Too much carbs, cheese, creamy sauce...you get the picture. Had to doggy-bag it. And she's a big girl too. Usually finishes her meals outright.
-Wood Grilled Tilapia - I had the fish because I wanted something 'lighter'. My fish was cooked very well. Perfect tenderness. Slightly salty in spots (poorly distributed "spice" batch).
-Triple Chocolate Brownie a La Mode - I had the brownie. It was more like a brownie-fudgesicle. A little too rich for me.
-Apple Crostada with Caramel Drizzle - Interestingly, we did not have the Doughnut Bites as a choice, but instead the crostada. This was basically an apple turnover, wrapped differently. Very tasty. Perfect dough. I recommend this dessert. Unless, of course, you hate, or are allergic to, apples. Dontknow
- Red Lobster Rolls - Yes, we did have the rolls. And they were as yummy as we thought they'd be. Pretty much the only thing I consistently like at Red Lobster.

Nor would they charge you anything close to $50 for it. The entrees always come with biscuits and salad, and none of those would ever cost more than $20, most would actually be right around $15.99. The dessert is around $6-8 and the cup of soup is probably less than $5. This "deal" is basically them giving you a dessert and cup of soup for free.

Which still isn't a bad thing if you like Red Lobster.

Soup runs around $4.75 and Dessert runs around $5.50.

Thats about $10.25 a person... $20.50 for a couple isn't a bad throw in...
