Not touching this for $100, 90, or 80...but for 70, why not . I am going to play the heck out of it within the first 90 days in case it craps out or so, it will still be under warranty.

Be careful with LG customer service, i bought a black friday blu ray player on Amazon 2010 and about 6 months in the dvd drive went out. Called customer service was told it wasn't worth fixing the player because it wold cost more to fix it than what it was worth since it was a black friday item. I told them i didn't care and it was within the year warranty, they offered to give me a different player for 30 dollars more, i said no way, ended up fighting with them for a few days then finally complained to the BBB and finally got it resolved. Since this happened i've been staying away from any LG product, let alone one that has poor reviews.

Damn, there are so many 1 star reviews that it's hard to pull the trigger. Bad reviews are one thing, but repeasted one star "DO NOT BUY" reviews are another.

I read the reviews...so I don't think I am going to bite. But $70? Hmmm

I have this player and I love it. I can't believe what a great price this is. I highly recommend getting a Square Trade Warranty (google their Tuesday coupon, which is usually 30% off) just in case of any problems.

I do, but prefer my BD570 over the BD670. Not sure what happened between models but its not as quick especially when using USB. It does play more of my .mkv files without failing though. I use it mostly for netflix and plugging in my 3tb HDD (partioned into 2tb and 1tb though since 2tb is the max). $70 is cheap though..

So, all these problems people are having with it are related to the actual disc player. I hardly every play DVDs/Blurays so I'm not too concerned with this. I mainly want a streaming box and I want to see at least 1 movie in 3D on the TV I bought almost a year ago.

I always cable these units since everyone complains about WIFI problems. I'm buying this for my smaller TV that doesn't have internet connectivity.

CNET seemed to like the player (http://reviews.cnet.com/blu-ray-p...68446.html) although the users hated it.

I will say one thing awesome about this box is it can play files off your network shares. Doesn't even need a stupid media server or anything, just browse the network and play the file. Doesn't do divx but plays most mp4/mkvs I throw at it.
