 off topic gripe about newegg that didn't belong in a hot deals thread EDIT: Newegg used to be good but after teaming up with Slickdeals team, they are just exploiting all the SD users. SD leadership is to blame here for screwing up Newegg. Last edited by cowardly; 06-12-2012 at 07:06 AM.. Amazon is Prime, Newegg is grime.

Rebates are offered by the product company, intel rebates tend to be a bit slow but reliable (~$300 in rebates from them in the last year). Decent deal, but remember this is a sandforce controller, so take from that what you will. I'd say a warm deal here. 700 Total SSD's handled between two jobs. Plextor M3s, M5s, Crucial M4s, Intel 320s, and Samsung 470/830s are reliable. 2 M4 failure among ~200 of them. Sandforce Sata II controlled drives, 6 RMAs among ~175 units. There, now you know why I post like I do, professional, personal experience.

Take your issues up with the rebate companies or Newegg themselves, and stop whining here. I've never had an issue with ANY of my rebates from the products I've purchased form Newegg. I realize others have had problems, but there are some/many of us who have had positive experiences. Sure, it might take a while to get our rebates, but in the end we're saving $$$.
