Walgreens 6/24 - 6/30 Deals

I was very late getting out to buy Covergirl and Coppertone, so I could only get to a few stores. The Covergirl rang up BOGO free at one store with a new register, but rang up BOGO 50% off at the another store which has a new register as well. So I guess it must be in the individual store programming.

Ha and then as a final attempt to do the deal before midnight, I went to one final store. When I saw the manager from another store I don't go to that often checking people out. Then I had a flashback...... to Almay mascara. If anyone remembers that deal, there was an IVC, but also the Almay was ringing BOGO free vs. BOGO 50% as advertised. When I finished checking out one time at that store during the Almay deal, I realized that I had accidently forget to get one of my Almays in the cart and bought an uneven number. So I missed out on my last free one. So I went to the manager to return one, so that I could rebuy with the one I missed. Big mistake! Manager was so upset when he looked over my receipt and saw the makeup was ringing up cheaper than the ad and sale tags, as if it was my fault. He actually suggested he should void the sale because it was wrong, but decided he wouldn't, but said I couldn't get more. As far as this manager is concerned the products ringing up the wrong price and people buying them at that price is fraudulent. As fraudulent as using coupons improperly.

Curious what do others in this thread think, are we being dishonest to take advantage of a deal that comes to be due to faulty programing and/or a price mistake? What about all the other people buying who didn't know about the deal before they checked out? I guess this manager expected me or anyone else to say hey wait a minute that product is supposed to be a higher price, please adjust it to the highter price.

So I decided when I saw him in this store tonight, I don't think so without even trying.

The pathmark around me consideres prices that ring more OR less as violations of their price garuntee and nj state law. If the shelf price is wrong thet expect the customer to speak up for theirselves, yet only complaign when its detrimental to themselves? That manager sounds like the type to argue if the shelf price is lower than rings up, an assh.

I thought you were saying that the ROC disks were earning a RR, but since I didn't get one when I bought this product, I am now guessing that you meant you PAID with an RR you already had?

I checked and our Walgreens stores here did not turn on the 7/1 ad early. I checked. Boo hoo.

I was hoping to get Coppertone Sport sunscreen at a bargain price.

I thought the same thing. Thankfully I tested it with my Jedi BA before pulling all those Qs for no reason.
