Normally I take reviews with a healthy dose of salt but with the element of potential injury (scratches and scrapes and so on) definite pass from me.

Horrible quality, directions, and is a rather misleading product. I purchased this as a gift for my niece's Christmas present and was so frustrated after simply opening the box that I nearly did not keep it (had it not been Christmas Eve that I opened it and decided to construct it, I would have returned it without hesitation). First problem - there are a ridiculous amount of pieces to assemble. I had put together a play kitchen for her birthday approximately 4 months prior and it was a cakewalk compared to this playhouse. The pieces of this playhouse were held together like those that come with a plastic model car kit - meaning you have to cut them apart by hand. This would not be anything to complain about if there were fewer parts, but the entire box is filled with parts and not one comes pre-assembled so it took nearly an hour to simply cut them all away from each other. Once separated, they leave jagged edges that can cut a child no matter how carefully you remove them (I actually cut myself fairly deep on one of the pieces). The directions are very difficult to figure out and the plastic is very thin and flimsy. It took me 4 hours to assemble it and just as I was getting to the end with the shutters, I put them on backwards (the directions are the absolute worst at this point of assembly). Since they snap into place, I had to rip them out (thereby cracking one shutter) and actually look at the pictures on the box to see how they were supposed to fit onto the house. The directions were of no use. I personally almost did not give it to her on Christmas I was so disappointed in the quality, but it was already assembled and was too big to hide from her (and I was not going to disassemble it to return it - my plan was to return it assembled). The one saving grace is that she absolutely loved it - especially the door, doorbell, and surprisingly, the shutters. Her smile was unbelievable and so big when she saw it and she had a lot of fun playing in it with her family. However - I still worry about her hurting herself on those jagged pieces (even though I filed them down as best I could) and it not lasting long. I would not recommend this product at all. Even with her thinking the world of it, I am upset that I purchased it. My advice is to stay away. Research similar playhouses and find one where the reviews are solid. Heed this warning.

Not to be the thread Debbie Downer but the other stuff from this brand is flimsy, fyi. I'd pass.
