Not a bad price.

Step 1 for the post-Sears era... carry Craftsman brand products in other retailers - Check.

do you happen to know, or can find out (in the case you bought one) if this set is made in USA?

Didn't even know Costco carried Craftsman tool sets now. In the past I've seen a crescent brand tool set. They've carried a craftsman impact wrench set, but not mechanics tool sets until now.

As for where it's made, usually on the back of the box near the bottom corner you'll see where most products are made.

I'm not planning to buy it since I already have a 265 or so piece, but I'm going to Costco on Thursday June 14th to pick up some of the coupon items... If I remember, I'll look to see where it's made.

It looks like they are Made in the U.S.A, all of my sockets and wrench's say it. If u need any pictures let me know. Also it comes with 2 sets of midget-wrench's metric and inch size, and those come in a separate bag with Made in the U.S.A. written on the back side of the bag they came in.

this is an 'okay' deal.. not sure if i'd classify it as a 'slickdeal.'

bought this from Sears for $50 plus tax, free shipping. It looks like a very similar set, except that maybe it doesn't have the 12-pt sockets. But who needs the 12-pt sockets?? They can strip your bolts.. I specifically wanted a set with just the 6-pt sockets. in MY opinion, save the money and get a cheaper set with just the 6-pt sockets. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_1015...ation&eml=

One thing I really hate about these tool box is if you open on the wrong side, everything will fall out. It usually happens when someone else borrowing it or on a busy day.

For these type tool kits I always take a permanent marker and write "This Side UP" or "This Side Down" on the handle so that doesn't happen.

So how well does it work for you since the box is black. Hahahahaha.

I just came back from Costco & looked at this. The back of the package where it lists all the ratchets, sockets & bits says "Made in USA" . I didn't buy a set since I have a Craftsman 265 pc from a decade ago so I can't verify what everything is stamped with inside.

Took a pic, but on my iPhone right now & don't see an option to post pix on mobile SD.

Cool, I am glad it works for you. My eyes are hard to read any transparent color written on black.
