Maximize your assets with Galaxy S3 Preorder through Best Buy

First of all, this is not exactly a deal. I am not sure if it belongs in this subforum. Please move it to where you think it belongs. There is no coupon or sale. It is an idea I came up with. No idea if it will work and hopefully someone can say if it will or won't.

So right now if you preorder the S3 through Best Buy you get a $50 gift card and a notice saying you have a phone reserved. However your contract is not set and you haven't signed anything. I figure you go back to Best Buy and upgrade to a different phone around June 27. Any phone will do but I suggest the RAZR and I'll explain why. You upgrade to that phone and use that gift card you got for preordering the S3. If you are on Verizon (I am) you are guaranteed unlimited data and that Mobile Freedom $50 gift card.

You then go back within 30 days and exchange the RAZR for the S3 when they call you to pick up the preorder you placed. You tell them instead of upgrading, you will be exchanging your RAZR instead and use the Mobile Freedom gift card to help pay the difference. That way you don't use that gift card on overpriced Best Buy crap. The reason why you use the RAZR is because it is $100 cheaper than the S3 will be and therefore you can use the Mobile Freedom gift card on the exchange. If you go with the Nexus or the RAZR MAXX, there won't be a difference in price when you exchange and you will need to use the gift card on a Monster cable or something.

There are a few problems I see. One, can you keep a preorder while upgrading? Two, when you go pick up the preorder will they allow the exchange, especially when you told them beforehand that you are upgrading, or will they tell you to GTFO? Third, Best Buy may not get the GS3 within thirty days of June 27. Please give me your input. Sorry again if this is on the wrong forum.
