how do you charge this thing? any link to the manual that wasn't included?

I charged mine with the mini-usb I have for another device on my charging station. Light will be red when charging, and green when charged fully.

As for taking off the film.. I have excellent nails for peeling the film off of these things and I cannot get it off, so either mine had no film, or its darn near impossible to get off.

Alright test results in:

Drained the Samsung Galaxy 7 Plus totally, and then plugged it in to this. It charged its 4000mAh battery to 66% before stopping.

I also managed to finally get the film off. Of course now I have scratches were I mauled at the corner of the film, but hey, at least its not mega scratched up anymore!

You can just use the mini-usb adapter that comes with it to charge this thing.

It's totally a China product, though, with no instructions included. Without instructions, the power button makes it seem like you need to press it to charge things, but the power button is simply just for checking how much power is left.

Overall, I like this device. It charged my GPS and iPod Touch and it still has juice left in the thing.

Mine did not arrive yet, but looking forward to trying it out.

I think these are being shipped from China. There is no reason why they should take so long to be delivered.

Mine was shipped from Fontana, CA on 6/19 according to my tracking info.

received mine today... after a full charged tried to charge my Blackberry or iPhone won't work, only work if I use the cable CAME with the battery pack!!!!

OK, got mine fully charged the other night and just got around to testing it this morning.

the 5v 1amp usb (USB1) seems to charge my go pro, go pro battery backpack so far. BUT my iPod Touch (4G) will not register in that slot as receiving a charge?

However when I put the Touch into the 2.1A usb (USB2), it does kick over to charging mode. Has anyone else been able to use the 1A usb to charge their iPod?

I really bought this thing to use as and large external battery for my go pro hd2 so I am glad so far it at least works for that. However I still need to do a time lapse test to see how many hours of use I can get now without having to change the battery.
