So, my DW and I have started hitting the trails, if you know what I mean!
Do you? Do you know what I mean?
Bicycling! Seriously, we have new bikes (well, new to us) and the trails in this area are awesome!
So far, we haven't been bike-jacked or anything! Even though it's only been less than a week. It's actually a nice area, hidden away in the middle of the city.
Anyone else bicycle or even walk on local trails?

wife and i both got bikes last summer, but we haven't sprung for a hitch, and she doesn't like riding on anything but residential streets, so we're limited to riding around our town. once we get a hitch and a bike rack, we have lots of nice trails around here.
I don't but DH does to lose weight. He discovered that the trail that goes through our town goes all the way up to Woodenville and passes right by the Redhook brewery. So he biked up there and stopped in for a beer. True story.
"Happiness and depression are both feelings, just like joy and anger. It's not feelings that give us problems. It's what we do with them that makes the difference."
"When I was 5 years old, my mom always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down happy. They told me I didn't understand the assignment and I told them they didn't understand life."
Yup. I stick to the trails and only occasionally do any road riding. Colorado has some of the best trails around, the one I spend the most time on runs along the Platte River. In a 77 mile ride (round trip) you only have to cross two streets, the rest of the time it runs under the bridges next to the river. There are a lot of other trails in and around the Denver area and most of the other big ones intersect with the Platte river trail somewhere along the way.
(I'm very attached to using clip-on aero bars and my trispokes. It may not be the lightest frameset around, but they always stay true, and how many things can you say that about?)
These trails are wonderful; fresh air, opening doors, potholes and you can actually stop a line of 20 cars from moving at anything faster that what you're doing! And best of all it's written to be driver calming.
This ordeal is like a fire tempering a sword. It's making chewy even tougher. If he got leprosy and his arm fell off, he'd beat the shit out of a bear, dip his stump in lemon juice and sew it back on with his good hand.
