Need opinions on game

I'm stuck on what to buy. I've got about $50 in credit through glyde and just about finished with Rage. I rented Ghost Recon and felt it was ok, I sold MW3 cause I was sucking at it and not having any fun playing, beat ME3, have Gears. I'm not sure if anyone even plays Battlefield 3 and if its worth getting or or Ghost Recon. Should I wait until BO2 comes out or what? I'd like to get something good to hold me over.

Edit - I would like something that has a decent group of players still online.

kinda thread grabbing here but curious about Battlefield Bad Company 2, my kid and I have played Halo Reach, and now MW3 and are having fun but I'm sure we will want something different until Halo 4, if I buy Battlefield Bad Company 2 used on Amazon (PRIME) for 8 bucks will I have to pay the EA $10.00 online fee?

Thanks webdoggy. So used BBB2 game for 8 bucks and play the first 4 maps, then have to foot the $10.00 for more map access, can I stretch my request for info and see if you (or others) know if that same $10.00 will be good for BF3 (if I buy used) or would it be another $10.00?
