Actually for some movies it's AMAZING! The huge difference would be movies shot in 24fps. Movies included battlefield: los angeles one of the newer transformers that I experienced personally. Watching on a 120hz set for the first time shocked me so much that my friend actually asked me (because it turns out my jaw dropped and my eyes were bulging) "What, you've never seen a real tv?" My response, in my head because I was so shocked, was "apparently not". Also has a huge difference on some new tv shows and even commercials! The main difference is the fluid motions. After getting my own 120hz TV set, and watching tv for a day, I switched to 60hz tv and the difference was so intense that in just one day of using a 120hz tv set, I can not enjoy 60hz anymore. In fact, it annoys the hell out of me because the motion isn't as fluid and I notice the blur so much that I would just turn it off sometimes. |

I just came back from a trip to China for two weeks and there were a lot of people with Hisense TV sets and also Hisense smartphones. I had never heard of the brand before that, but the TV's all seemed like a pretty great picture. I actually wrote it down to try to remember to check out what the prices were when I came home. This seems like a great deal, too bad I just got a TV a couple of months ago.

"When sound film was first introduced in 1926, variations in film speed were no longer tolerated as the human ear was more sensitive to changes in audio frequency. From 1927 to 1930, the rate of 24 FPS became standardized for 35 mm sound film;[1]" wikipedia [wikipedia.org] |

Every once in awhile I get an email that mentions that there's been a reply to this thread. All of the recent questions regard questions about the model. Should I conclude that no one on slickdeals bought this unit? It seemed like a can't miss for those that have their own business or a home with a room that needed an extra inexpensive TV.
