As a matter of fact, I do! My ipod doesn't get radio stations for some reason. But its one of them newfangled FM models.

That's why they make ear protection. And unless you're mowing inside, I can hardly believe that exhaust fumes are a problem. But then again, your old gas mower was probably circa 1920. Good luck pushing that dinosaur when you're 60+.

If my neighbor next door was pushing one of these dinosaurs, I'd take out my riding mower to create a little noise and show him what the real world is using these days.

What do the folks that use a reel mower do for edging? Are ya'll using an electric string trimmer?

I'm using an electric trimmer that flips over to edge. It isn't great, but it's also not a great trimmer. If I had bought a self-propelled walk-behind, I'd probably be using the exact same trimmer.

FWIW, I didn't buy this (the Max model, actually) because it's green. I bought it because it was cheaper, I don't have to breathe in gas fumes or as much grass (allergies), and it's easier/cheaper to maintain than a gas mower. I wear gloves and rip up the crab grass seed stalks by hand. Other than that, it cuts pretty well. I also have a plug-in mower for backup in case I let it get too tall, but it's a pain to use regularly.

How does these mowers handle twigs and such in the yard? Does the blade get nicked up, or hang up?

If my neighbor took out a riding mower on our 1/4 acre lots, I'd laugh all the way back inside. It's cheaper to hire a professional crew in most cases and even they don't bother with riding mowers.
