FWIW
I have this grill and I can tell you it has a tendency to leak propane. When you are not using it be sure to unscrew your little tank or if you have the 20lb adapter hose be sure to close the valve on the tank. Other than that, it's a fantastic grill with a lot of cooking real estate for being a small as it is. |

Is the CDC a reliable enough source for you?
If you want to risk it and think it's okay, that's your decision, but I find it irresponsible to suggest to others to do the same, given the risk of the worst-case scenario...death. I would be interested to know how you can say that there is zero risk of CO poisoning. I've provided some sources that support my opinion...what evidence do you have other than your opinion? |

Your data, even from the CDC, is imprecise. Portable gas stoves include liquid fuel stoves. They are much less clean than propane. They don't specify which they are referring to. Likewise, conflating charcoal as a heating source with propane as a cooking source is like claiming that talking to Rosie O'Donnell on the phone is the same as having a date with Sofia Vergara. Yes, there are functional and operational similarities, but they are nowhere near equivalent. My info that there is acceptable (not zero) risk of CO poisoning I've already stated TWICE. I burn propane on my stove EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR. It burns no cleaner than this grill. If there were an iota of risk with a propane stove, wouldn't the CDC have banned them already? So then, making some complete leap to saying there's an unacceptable amount of risk with a very similar appliance, just because it's optimized for outdoor use, is excessively paranoid. (Granted, I'd indeed be worried about flareup from this indoors, but that's not the point here). Think about it. If it were discovered today, would the government even ALLOW natural gas to be pumped through the ground at high pressure and vented into your house, to be burned at whim by your average moron citizen? Nope. They'd ban it as too dangerous. And they'd probably reconfigure 120V service to be 12V...again, in the name of safety. And for comparison, here's something that puts out 50% more heat and is used "safely" indoors. http://www.northerntoo
Doesn't sound like they're too worried about CO, and they're expecting you to run this thing for hours, not minutes. With any appliance, there's a non-zero risk of CO and fire if used improperly, in the same way that people with pools have a higher risk of drowning in their pool than people without pools). ![]() I'm done...I'll trust the CDC over your conjecture, which still isn't backed up by anything of substance. |

![]() Apparently you consider gross oversimplifications written by lawyers for the ignorant to be "substance", even when presented with factual unarguable empirical evidence to the contrary. No offense, but a that's good example of why America is doomed to mediocracy. "Never mind that people do it everyday...if the Government says it's bad, they must be right.". I won't bother digging up more examples...your internet is replete with them. |

![]() I don't think you can build most fireplaces anymore...especially in California. Wait...the oracle wife says you can have ONE. But you can never use it...at least not on no-burn days. Sheesh... :-) A friend had a fireplace that went through from the kitchen to the living room. Business in the front, party in the rear...like a mullet.

I received shipment of my grill yesterday. It is a nice grill but I can tell by close inspection that it is definitely either a refurb or some sort of floor model. It looks like it literally fell off the truck and someone picked it up and repackaged it. The things I noticed were:
1 - there is touch up paint on certain spots 2 - obvious wear and tear on the allen screws 3 - someone did a horrible job trying to clean the stainless steel with a dirty rag 4 - The box is damaged and obviously re-taped. Anyone else notice any of the above or am I the only lucky one? I can't say I'm completely angry because it was a pretty hot deal but I hate being deceived. The seller made it a point to say that it was a BRAND NEW unit and it clearly is not. I don't think I'm going to return it just a little ticked off. I'm always skeptical of eBay but I let my guard down based on the seller's rating. Buyer beware
