Is it the power adapter or jack pin? My samsung princeton laptop won't charge
![]() :,( The laptop was working the other day and then when I picked up my laptop the charge icon started to go from uncharged to charged and so on. I was able to adjust the charger adapter so that it could charge, but at this point I can't do anything. It just won't charge. Do you think it's the power adapter or the pin jack instead? How would I fix it if it is??? |

Do you have a multimeter? You can check the power adapter in a few places to see if it is putting out voltage. If it is then its probably the laptop jack (they can fail at the motherboard), If not then its probably the adapter.
Vague questions receive vague answers . . . . . .

Most likely the jack - just takes one person tripping over that cord & ripping it out of the back of the machine & the jack is.... jacked.
Try Liquid's suggestion above if you can lay your hands on a multimeter. If it IS the jack, there are places that can fix it for you - probably will cost about $100. Or, if you're good with a soldering iron, you can probably fix it yourself for under $20 - you can google up some instructions pretty easily. |
