It is a good option for people with T-mobile phones or unlocked GSM phones who aren't looking to invest in a new phone after their contract is up. The activation sim kit is normally $19.99. Simple also works in unlocked iPhones. Simple is a MVNO that operates on the T-mobile network (service is area dependent). Their most popular plan is the $40 for unlimited talk, text, and 3G web. I've never tried their service, but I know their internet speeds are 2Gish when they say 3G & 3G when they say 4G. Also, for the iPhone, it can only be edge- 2G speed regardless of what plan you choose ($40 or $60 plan). Even though they say unlimited data, if you use a certain amount of data, the internet can be suspended for that month (the Pandora app and wireless hotspots are not supported). A pro is that global/international text messaging is free and they have an unlimited international calling plan. Simple Mobile is prepaid = no contract/no monthly obligation/no personal information required. They also allow you to transfer your number from other carriers.
