For those who want a faster cpu and 1GB of RAM, http://www.mcbub.com/item/Dual-co...4--147239/ is selling for $144 and features a dual core Cortex A9 CPU 1.5GHz clock speed
1 X 512KB L2 cache
Dual core, Mali400 GPU w/1 X 64KB cache 400MHz

The other chip which is slightly faster is the RK3066 which has the same dual core Cortex A9 but has quad core Mali400 GPU running at 250MHZ each. Unfortunately, MCbub does not have this tablet available in a 7", only 10" tablets that are roughly $250-280.

From Slatedroid.com: [slatedroid.com]
Quote :
Best dual (or quad) core choices for ARM CPUs are*:
#1. Tegra3, Exynos4, RK3066
#2. Snapdragon S4, 8726-MX
#3. Tegra2, OMAP4
*The above choices are ordered by GPU performance in gaming benchmarks.
If you change your mind. Send an email to service@mcbub.com.

Ever wondered how your Chinatab is manufactured?
From start to finish?
A rare look inside a Chinese factory that does just that.
See how the motherboards are made, all the way down to the final product aqnd quality control testing the mics and cameras etc.
Truly amazing.

Start off with finding out how the boards are produced and tested..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rch6y6T3vFQ
...then off to the actual assembling of your tablet...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AfyAjkPIYyc
..and the final product...

Guessing he mean this one from Kohls. http://www.kohls.com/kohlsStore/e...Tablet.jsp or similar one that is available from big lots for 99.99 or less depending on what week it is. The 7" tablet market is heating up though I would pick this up had I not just bought the Zeki 7" this week at K-mart.

I'm really wanting to get one of this but does anyone have any experience of using Skype on this one? I figure I'd just use this for skype video but I really want to make sure it works perfectly. Thanks and repped!
The video review on the link shows Skype being used.

According to the seller's website, the buyer is responsible for paying Customs fees separately. How much customs tax would be due on this item, does anyone know?
No customs fees into the USA for this item.
I've ordered probably 6 different times for a total of 8 tablets from McBub.com and at least 5 from other sites over the last 18 months and never once had a single penny charged for some kind of fee other than what I bought.

Took a dive for the price. I hope to have a good experience with this seller.
McBub has been a seller for quite a while and I have deals from their site going back to more than a year ago on Slickdeals with people buying hundreds if not thousands of times over that stretch.

You would be the minority if you had a bad experience.
They're about as good as you'll do in China for a solid reseller.

If he meant the $129.99 one in the link from Kohl's, the specs look identical.
It is the same.

FYI you might want to hold off a couple weeks on any Android tablets. Rumor is that the Nexus Tablet will be announced by the end of the month and it will practically be subsidized by Google. Evidently it will be a full-featured 7" tablet including a quad core nvidia Tegra processor and a gig of ram for $150-200.

Yes the one posted here is in a cheaper class than that, but the point is that the Nexus Tablet might cause other tablet prices to drop dramatically because it will be tough for them to justify current prices.

with ICS on it,4gb storage kind of too little since you can't side load app from memory card all app have to to be store on internal memory. You only can store movie, song, picture on sd card not application

Yes, agreed thanks. Regardless, where there's smoke there's fire. Khol's deal + this = a better deal has to be right around the corner.

Granted, that's always the case with this stuff but there's no sense being foolish, eh?

Nexus tablet is said to be sub 250 even if it ends up being 210...you could buy 3 of these to one of the nexus tablet. Its a hell of a deal anyway you look at it and never had any problem using app2sd on ICS.

We've been hearing rumors on their release for-ev-er.
Even if it does come out, how much further do you go from a $70 tablet with the latest Android OS and a multi-touch Capacitive screen??

I guess they could hand them out for free with the Amazon free app of the day.....

Absolutely, completely, incorrect.
Just install apps to SD to move over internal memory programs.
The only thing of size that actually takes up space in large volume is music and movies, which you put on the card of your choice.

I hate people that post and do not have the facts.

You already gave it a thumbs down.
Seems you wouldn't care at this point?

Kohl's deal is not a deal.
Yes, there is smoke.
The fire is Father's Day sales, which is where McBub's deal comes from on their Father's Day page.
I checked the competition and the usual suspects (as far as China Tablet resellers go) can't touch this price.
