For those who want a faster cpu and 1GB of RAM, http://www.mcbub.com/item/Dual-co...4--147239/ is selling for $144 and features a dual core Cortex A9 CPU 1.5GHz clock speed
1 X 512KB L2 cache
Dual core, Mali400 GPU w/1 X 64KB cache 400MHz

The other chip which is slightly faster is the RK3066 which has the same dual core Cortex A9 but has quad core Mali400 GPU running at 250MHZ each. Unfortunately, MCbub does not have this tablet available in a 7", only 10" tablets that are roughly $250-280.

Ever wondered how your Chinatab is manufactured?
From start to finish?
A rare look inside a Chinese factory that does just that.
See how the motherboards are made, all the way down to the final product aqnd quality control testing the mics and cameras etc.
Truly amazing.

Start off with finding out how the boards are produced and tested..

...then off to the actual assembling of your tablet...

Don't order from them! I ordered a tablet from them few months and it stopped working after a day. So I tried to return or exchange but they kept telling me how to fix it every single day for 10days until their return or exchange time expired. I wasted $150 thinking I will go for something cheap. Worst company I ever dealt with in my 12yrs of online shopping!

Same here.. interesting
Trend Micro's test site [trendmicro.com] isn't much help. Google Chrome isn't blocking it, so I am guessing maybe it is because the company is located in China, where a lot of fraud does happen.

It was a different one about 4months ago. This company is based in china, so you can't reach them over the phone good, contacting them over emails dragged for 10days, then the money back warranty expired. CS still wouldn't provide anything to send it back for exchange so I gave up after 2weeks of trying.

Relative to what other $70 tablet with a Capacitive screen and Android 4.0?

4+ hours non-stop on streaming WiFi with a video playing (2 movies back-to-back?) is not enough to cover you before you can find a power source?

What's the battery time?

How is the battery, how long stand?
Quote from paddingtonbear View Post :
I asked what the battery life was like. Since Evo seems to be a representative of mcbub and is shilling for this deal, I would think he would be fine with answering that question. Instead he made it personal, saying that it shouldn't matter to me based on my voting history. Doesn't mean I'm not still curious what the battery life is and why he's pushing so hard for people to buy this product even though earlier posters have raised questions about it that are more interested in trying to be helpful to other SD'ers. That's what my interest is - is this a good deal for SD'ers. Evo's interest, on the other hands, seems to be, is this a good deal for McBub - which I don't care about quite so much. You be the judge of who is on the right side of this discussion. My question is, considering Evo's history with McBub, why SD mods haven't looked into whether he is shilling for the company. I thought that was against the forum rules but maybe I'm wrong.

Perhaps he answered you the way he did because he already answered the question you asked prior to you asking it of the person he replied to, mere minutes after that person blurted something to the effect of 'stinky battery!'. Come on, why does everything have to be so hard? Read the posts before you and maybe you wouldn't get your feelings hurt.

Do you have issues buying from some unknown wharehouse in the middle of who-knows-where? Me too, so I don't do it. Nothing anybody on this website can tell you can guarantee you'll get the experience you're expecting/asking, so what's the point of you getting all hurt and calling this guy a "shill"? This may be a wonderful deal, this may not. I'm not really in the market except to buy my nephews something, and I'm not going to risk it from a place that will likely be hard to return to, and which would be at my expense.

Just woke up and found you funny. Have a nice one, hope we all find a better deal! wave

I strongly recommend not getting this. It reminds me a lot of my Eken I bought last September. It was like $75 or so with free shipping on Ebay. At first, it was great but I ended up using it about 10 times (rarely) over the course of the next 4 or 5 months when it just stopped working altogether. The battery life deteriorated very quickly, as if they just stuck a piece of junk in there to work for a while til it died. The thing was a total joke.

Even for that price, it was totally not worth it. It was a piece of junk made in a sweat factory in China. Considering the stupidly low price of this one, no doubt in my mind it's the same.

Please use common sense people. You're paying 70 bucks for something comparable to something else that's 500 bucks or more?? A fool and their money sure are soon parted.

If you are looking for a toy or something cheap that will likely break quickly, go ahead and buy this. Just look at the demo of Fruit Ninja in the youtube vid link. It is playable but obviously much, much slower than other devices-- at relatively low resolution. Hardware is the cheapest, least durable stuff China can produce.

This has it's place, but it would never be in my hands. I'm guessing anyone who's used a more powerful tablet or decent android phone will get frustrated with it. just my opinion of course.

You seem awfully invested in the success of this deal. I suspect a shill.
You are totally right! He posted a tablet deal some time back from the same company and he was there to answer questions couple of days and then he disappeared.

Haven't really considered a tablet but at these prices I will have to start to consider. Wouldnt make a bad xmas present for my 6 year old too at this price.

What is everyone using their tablet for?

Im looking at just using it for movies, games, can these be used in lieu of an e-reader too and how is it in comparison to a kindle or something?

I don't plan on paying for a data plan, so I could just use one of these over wi-fi, downloading games as needed and uploading movies manually?
