Good price. Bought 2 on BF from Best Buy for $99 each, followed the YT video to remove the barracuda drives from within without damaging the case. They have worked great in my Drobo. Don't need more yet though...so I'll wait for another <$100 deal. But for those in need of more space this is a decent deal and the drives work well.

129$ for this is pretty much standard price for this. Before the production issues, this was available for 79$ few years ago.

Anyone who subscribed to Newegg's mail received this. No need to even spend time looking for it and so, time spent spotting this is not much.

This would be a hot deal if it was spotted for <100$ without having to jump through hoops with Staples coupon, calling in for price match etc.

Probably, and most definitely.

No, it's a 7200RPM Barracuda. Yes, the warranty is voided...but only if they can tell you removed it. You can open the case with thin piece of plastic without breaking any of the tabs. It takes a few minutes if it's your first time, but it's not too difficult if you are careful.

Decent deal I guess. Saves you a few bucks over the current Staples deal due to tax.

I think I'll wait until it drops to about 110 or 115 as it was a few weeks ago.
