Spyder4 Express Lightening Deal $79.99

Almost bit, but the Express model (apparently) only supports one computer and one monitor. Some work arounds for dual monitors on Windows and Mac. Supposedly the Elite model gives you more options, but call me crazy, if I buy a calibration tool, I should be able to calibrate whatever I want. It's ind of like buying a single use hammer.

Couldn't agree more, but that didn't stop me from buying a Spyder 3 Elite, and a Spyder 3 TV...I could have used the Elite with a netbook hooked up through my TV's VGA port, but opted to spend more money to get less hassle. It's lame, but I will say my monitors and TV's look much, much better after calibration.
On my TV I had taken the suggested settings from the Cnet review, and was happy with the picture. I calibrated a different profile using the Spyder, and could do a direct a/b comparison afterward - no contest, the Spyder picture was darker, better defined, and had more natural looking color.

There's a product called CalMan that I found out about after buying the Spyder's, which sounded a bit more professional, a bit less user friendly, but probably more flexible. It's more expensive, but might be worth checking out if you want to calibrate multiple types of displays in your home.

At first I thought you maybe misunderstood and that it meant only single monitor computers, but yeah, according to the amazon reviews the software license/key only works for a single computer. If true (not all amazon reviewers are computer savvy though...), thats just silly. And apparently this fact is not mentioned anywhere on the packaging or item description.

Although I'm not sure how this would work, because couldn't you just go into the folder where your windows color profiles are stored, make a copy and rename the color profile created by this, then uninstall the software and use on a different computer?

I did read one review where the reviewer claims if you activate the software on another computer then the first computer deactivates. If you need the software installed and activated to load the profile, that's obviously a problem. There is supposedly some form of windows workaround where you calibrate a monitor, locate the profile, copy it somewhere and have the stock Windows profile manager use the profile. Then move on to the next monitor.

In the end, it may be doable, but it's a lot of work for a "nice to have" (for me anyway).
