You are for sure stuck with single core with that ECS $15 MB. You can overclock it fairly well with that MB though. Even with a MB that supports core unlocking, it's not a sure thing that the dormant core will be stable anyway.

I wish I had a microcenter close by to take advantage of those deals but like Matt said, most people do not. I do not see why they don't offer any deals even half as good online than their B&M stores either as they would get more business and steal some from Newegg, Amazon, and Tigerdirect/Circuit City/all 500 other of their websites.

The $15 AR ECS board does not have the option to unlock cores though it can overclock.
