I asked Tmobile for a unlock code. Got the unlock code, but not working.
Later, I got another email
"Please disregard previous instructions as they are not compatible with your device.
After further review we have determined that this device will only work on the T-Mobile network. Information regarding this is listed on the outside of the box. If you have any further questions you can contact us at 1-800-937-8997 or if you need to activate service, you can follow the instructions provided in your handset kit.
Thank you for choosing T-Mobile!"
Anybody have any idea? shall we buy the unlock code from chinese-ebay?

Update 6/23/2012:
Got an email saying that they are out of stock and I have the option of the T-Mobile Jet 2.0 at the same price PLUS they are including a $35 Pass as well. LINK
Apparently Deal was supposed to be active on June 19th. If you ordered on June 18th, you won't get the $15 card... call to complain or return with free return shipping
Supports 3G bands 1700 (AWS - T-Mobile) and 2100 (used outside the US), so even if you manage to get this unlocked it will NOT work on AT&T's 3G (it will work on EDGE only).
Here is some tech info on the rocket. There may be a third 3g band supported (1900) http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/...irect=true

T-Mobile Sim Unlock Request Sim Unlock Reference: xxxxxxxx IMEI: 3xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Thank you for taking the time to contact T-Mobile. We have received your fax and after review of the receipt we are unable to provide you with the SIM unlock code. Please be advised your receipt indicates that the handset was purchased as a Prepaid kit. Prepaid kits are sold at a discounted rate and are not eligible to receive the unlock code until the activated.
