http://www.bestoftheblogs.com/Home/43020 Why slickdeals I awesome: I post a deal, it gets reposted 30 minutes later. I report the repost, and slickdeals warns me for "not doing my own work" when all the new poster did was post incomplete info and add links an hour after they blatantly stole my post. Obviously, this is the right way to encourage me to post more deals. |

And there are large locality differences in the measurements, some states are up more than others. And presumably that would be a combination of man made and natural sources. Take out the measurement error and the natural causes and it leaves nothing at all. And it doesn't even break down any possible man made sources, like carbon dioxide vs. methane vs. whatever. They are saying the combination of all sources manmade and natural over the last 100 years is at most in the united states three tenths of one degree. So the people counting tons of carbon dioxide are full of it. Even if there is an increase in temperature globally, and I'm not sure even that is true, it's very small and of unknown cause. Some cancer patients come up with elaborate reasons why they don't actually have cancer and how it's not real or whatever. That's basically what you're doing. Expect basically the people funding the misinformation campaign are mostly older, rich people who won't be around to have to deal with the ramifications of their actions/inactions. In a survey of ppl in New Orleans most of them don't even know where the evac shelters are, even after their city was destroyed once. The citizens of Pompeii ignored repeated warnings that the volcano was going to erupt. Actually that's not wholly true. Some of them were smart enough to bail and weren't engulfed in lava. At the time, they observed animals acting strangely and fleeing since they all knew something was up, but the people were willfully ignorant. Likewise, for global warming people observe all the signs that can easily be ignored by people who simply don't want to believe it. But believing or not believing in something doesn't change the likelihood of it happening. The science says warming is happening and that's the conclusion formed repeatedly by any legit scientific study that's not funded by right-wing deniers. Also, yahoo answers is not a legitimate source of scientific information. |

BTW, it was a story on yahoo news not yahoo answers. Last edited by clearanceman; 06-21-2012 at 09:12 PM.. |

Careful these are all done by a shaddy company. For example, when i joined mens health i was sent 3 books that if i didnt return they would assume i wanted them and charge me around 60 bucks. I was forced to send back the books and they even then tried to claim i didnt send them in time. Just a horrible company which sucks because i use to enjoy popular science and mens healths, but with tactics like that I will never read them again.
