Is God an Alien?

How many of you agree with Mitt Romney's belief thay God is an alien man from planet Kolob, who flew to Earth, had sex with virgin Mary, and also sired Satan?

I'm just curious, that's all.

it's probably more likely than any other version of god out there.

First off, is Romney alone in that belief? Secondly, to answer the question posed in your title, I would say if God exists, he would have to be an alien since I have seen no scripture, writings etc depicting him as a human being who became endowed with super powers. He is always depicted as a supernatural being and thus to us, would be considered an alien.

Actually I was referring more to the OP singling out Romney instead of speaking about the Mormon faith as a whole.

All I did was point out the factual, stated views of Mr. Romney's religion.

Mitt Romney absolutely believes that God is a man from planet Kolob. Romney believes that God traveled to Earth and had sex with virgin Mary. Romney also believes that God is the father of Satan, and that Jesus and Satan are brothers. Not metaphorically, but they are actual brothers.

Mitt Romney doesn't merely believe these things, he preaches and teaches them, for he is an elder and a leader of his church, and he pays his 15% tithe.

If you feel this denigrates Mr. Romney, that's your problem, but don't curse at me for merely stating well-known facts. My Link is The Book of Mormon.

While we are on the topic though. I think aliens planting life on earth, directly or indirectly, is more likely than an eternal supernatural omnipotent being magically creating life.

Mormons are free to believe whatever they want, but certainly if the bizarre statements of Jeremiah Wright were somehow relevant to the Obama candidacy, then surely that stated core values of Romney's religious teachings are relevant.

Please note that no-one has denied that these are the actual beliefs of Mormonism.

So is the point of this thread that Mormons are crazy, the religious are crazy, or just Romney is crazy?

Didn't know that was the story of Mormonism.

It does sound more plausible than an omnipotent creator.
