Search Problems - editing?
Hi,First off, I know there have been several threads regarding search function issues, but it seems that the resolution is always, 'try again, it's being finicky.' However in my situation I have tried several different ways over a period of time, and the search isn't giving my what I want. I have a thread here: http://forums.slickdeals.net/show...4&t=455838 I update it the post and the title every day. Whenever the deal is even remotely good, it will get reposted at some time during the day. The last 2 days, this has been done by a mod - someone I think would perform a search beforehand. Today's title is, '3/20: Just Cause (360) $23.99 [Amazon Video Game DotD thread]'. When searching titles only (imo the best way to search for reposts) for 'cause,' 'just', '23.99', my thread doesn't appear. This can be checked with several other games on the list in my thread. My theory is that the 'search titles only' function can't deal with edited titles. I've tried searching for my thread without the title restriction, and it was fine. I don't think it's a database refreshing thing, because I picked a topic that was created within the last hour and it showed up. Is this a known issue, or is there something that can be done about it? |
