On the deal side, we spent around 6K when we visited family of 6 Beijing. Food was nice or everything was nice, this was before Olympics. Beware of those tea ceremony guys they will get you and jades have no value to anyone.

I've been to something like 46 countries and lived in a high proportion of those.

One thing that I can say without any bias is that no matter what the social system implemented, the basic rules are.

If you are poor, life is harder or more complicated
If you are rich, life is easier and less complicated.

That is all

Life is all about balance at the end of the day.

Actually, the poor were a lot poorer before capitalism. One the funniest things I saw way back in the day in China was a dude sitting in his "house". It was literally nothing more than a big pile of hay the size of a tent. The funny thing was that he had a TV in there.

i've never been to beijing, at least not yet but when I went to the more rural areas, it was pretty cold... and i heard beijing is worst

If everyone supplied a valid email to see this deal, then Travelzoo would have farmed about 34,000 new emails to sell to their clients and advertisers of travel deals. At about $0.05 to $0.09 per email gathered and sold to advertisers, SDers have contributed about $2,500 towards their future income per email blast per advertiser.
