It was a false alarm. It was a water mark outside the lens. When i cleaned it with a cleaning cloth and a drop of water, it went away. I got scared for no reason. Phewwwwwww. Wink

You must have let other people handle the camera and someone had sticky hands (cheese or other sticky stuff) and they left a mark.

Put a UV filter on the lens esp if you are letting others handle it.
UV filter is useless in terms of picture quality but protects the lens.
