This is a great price on a very nice airgun. As OP points out, this is NOT a children's pellet gun. If you're looking for rapid fire CO2 powered mayhem, you won't be happy. If you're looking for a powerful, accurate plinking, target or pest control rifle, this is a solid deal.

FYI: any customer reviews that critize shot consistency or accuracy in this type of airgun are likely due to user error. It's a classic problem with high power spring piston airguns. You don't hold and aim them quite the way you do with a real firearm. Google something called the "artillery hold", digest what it means and this thing will amaze you with it's accuracy and shot consistency.

This is probably a mistake. The first picture you gave is a label for a Beeman air rifle. The 2nd picture is for a Ruger air rifle. Not the same item. Mislabled maybe? Probably a one-off in this case.

My RWS model 34 is spring and I can shoot through a 1/4 inch hole all day long at 25 feet. Quite boring actually.

YMMV, my store isn't selling them for $49.99.
