car leasing/buying thread
i'm surprised that there is no specific thread devoted to this, so I'm starting one. discuss offers you've gotten to lease or buy a car. people can post if they think slick deal or not
to start, I am in the process of leasing a 2012 buick regal w/ premium 1 (non-turbo) - heated front leather seats, blue tooth/mp3, push button start, full power adjustable front seats, remote start, dual climate control. MSRP 29,375.
was able to negotiate down to lease payment of $255/month (inclusive of all fees/taxes) + 1st month payment and plates. otherwise no money down. 39 months. Sale price came out to around $21,000 (about 25% off MSRP).
called around and several buick dealerships were willing to offer the same so they must have some heavy incentives going on in the back end. I felt it was fair and went for it given hard to get more than 20% off msrp anywhere. good deal?
I used these sites to help with my strategy:
http://www.realcartips.com/ (seems like he makes money on referrals to carwoo but otherwise has posted a lot of legit, concrete advice on there).
www.truecar.com (to get a sense of what others are paying).
www.edmunds.com (for pricing and for their reviews)
