You won't get the black level this DLP gets from the 8350, and you will have a lot more motion blur with the Epson.

Let me ask to all projector lovers, do you use it for day to day for aleast 10hrs? If yes then how long lamp will last on it and cost of replacement?

I understand th importance of projector as well as DLP. I will only consider projector when its full 3D LED which gives life of lamp longer than DLP..

Dear god how do you spend 10 hours per day watching TV?

My parents watch TV from 7:00 am to 8:30 pm all day as they are retired and nothing else to do for them. I'm considering DLP because of that otherwise I have gone for projectors

There's the other moronic comment I was waiting for! Yep, bulbs that last several THOUSANDS of hours at $99 shipped from Mitsubishi, that's TERRIBLE! Of course, I am still on my first one at 2600 hours on one tv and have not felt the need to replace it yet...

Sure. the physical depth of this one at 24" deep is kinda hard for some people to get over. However, if you have your big screen in a nice custom made wall unit in a big enough room, then this is less an issue. Bulb replacement, while simple and straightforward, scares some people.
And yes, for some the rainbow effect is an issue. However, there are very very few people whom this is an issue for.
the positives are that you don't need a dedicated light controlled room to watch tv. The price/performance ratio for 92" is also a positive. Bulb replacement can also be seen as a positive as it basically makes your tv "new" again....


ehhhhhhh, agree with you on the first point but the epson is quite good at handling fast motion. The epson was on my short list with the Panny 7000, but I ended up with the Panny for a variety of reasons..

Having owned the Epson, it's actually pretty bad with motion blur, unless you are watching a Blu-ray. That is pretty typical of LCD's. Try watching sports on ESPN HD, it's not a very good experience.

I posted about my 73" 4 post below yours. But here are pics of mines just snapped on a stand i got at Walmart.
No the light does not bother me or affects the actual viewing angle and colors to really be bothered by it.

1. i pity anyone who has to watch broadcast television for 10 hours a day, i dont even own a cable box because all television worth watching is HBO or BBC
2. who needs to watch 10 hours of tv on a 92" screen? Buy them a 60" plasma and call it a day.
