Pay Credit card with Another Credit card??

I applied for this Amex Business card .

I just got approved.

Requirement --- > Apply by June 26th. To get the 75,000 point bonus, $10,000 must be spent on the card within the first four months.
Can transfer sometimes to a bunch of airlines and hotel programs for 50% bonus

My question is
I need to pay close to $2000 to my other cards. What's the best way to use this card to pay $2000 to other cards. That way I just need to spend another $8000 for the bonus miles.

As others have said, balance transfers or account checks (which are basically the same thing) do not count towards spending requirements. Nor do cash advances. You need to make transactions for it to apply. There are various work arounds to try and meet these requirements with little OOP cost. In addition to the ones stated above, one trick used to be buying currency (for face value) from the US Mint, but I believe they stopped this.

If you can spend $8k in 4 months, you should be able to spend an extra $2k. Smilie

Since we routinely spend about $3k/month on normal expenses, I've never had a problem meeting any card requirements.

Nope. That would usually incur a fee of 3% or $5 minimum.

My way actually involves cash..it's convoluted but a loophole that hasn't been closed, because it's not *technically* supposed to be a cash advance. laugh out loud

One trick I found is if you go on a cruise, you can use the slot machines as cash machines without incurring a fee or penalty. At least on Carnival.

If you go into the Casino and try to get chips for the tables, they will charge you a transaction fee. However, if you load your "carnival card" up with money at the slots, they do not charge a fee, and they bill your credit card like a regular purchase transaction.

There are some limits in place as far as how much you can do at one time and per day, but they were fairly high.

I don't remember if the transaction was coded as "travel" or not, but if so, you could probably score some hefty point bonuses too.

But in any case, you could just load the card up at the slots, then walk over and cash it back out for cash.
