Picked up a set...right before it went OOS I see...

I heard it wasn't good to mix different sized memory speeds and capacities, There are currently 4 total slots, 2 filled totaling "2.33Ghz, 2.00 GB of RAM" (reading from system properties)...came stock with a dell, should I yank this out and just put in this memory or just add it to make 10 total gb?

Let me rephrase then: anything over 1066MHz is not guaranteed to work at all and is an overclock.

There is only one spec for DDR3. JEDEC says it's 1.5V @ 1066MHz. Anything else faster is a factory overclock.

You may not have enough RAM slots. Take the old ones out and replace with these regardless.

If you were able to install these with the old RAM, the new RAM would down-clock itself to match the slower speed of the old RAM.

That's wrong.

First you claimed they are "overclocked 1333 modules" now you are saying 1066MHz. Second, there are many JEDEC specs for DDR3 including 1600.

and you were talking to someone else but there definitely are guarantees that memory will work. When a manufacturer says it will do these specs and offers a lifetime warranty, they are guaranteeing it will do it, for life.
