I have new prescription medication running to about $500 a year.
I have yet to select a pharmacy and have options ranging from CVS, Walgreens, Costco, Rite-Aid, Duane Reade, Pathmark etc. My insurance covers this drug and so the price (my co-pay) will be the same at each of these pharmacies (I think, based on what my insurer told me)
Any one know of any deals on the above pharmacies, or advice on which is better? cash back etc.?
Ah, the ups and downs of living in NYC Thanks for the heads up
I have a Walgreens pharmacy coupon for a $25 gift card with a transferred prescription, but its not valid in AL, AR, MA, MS, ND, NJ, NY, and PR. Are you close enough to another state (or go there often enough) to make coupons such as these worthwhile?
I've heard of people who are on a monthly prescription getting a bunch of these coupons and taking them to a different pharmacy every month to take advantage of the gift card deals. Many pharmacies will take competitor's coupons.
