Haven't worn flip flops since I was a kid. The human foot is ugly, if you take the time to study it. Don't really like to show it off, every now and then I'll wear some sandals with a wide band with the toes showing a little but most of the time, wear sneakers or shoes.
Happiness and depression are both feelings, just like joy and anger. It's not feelings that give us problems. It's what we do with them that makes the difference.

I couldn't wear flip-flops at work unless they were steel-toe flip flops. And I'm guessing that even if they made such a thing they wouldn't be all that comfortable to wear anyway.
For what it's worth it was worth all the while

no flip flops, no sandals, no peep toe pumps, no hoodies, no sleeveless tops, no piercings (visible), tats covered, no more than 2 bracelets/earrings and no bare legs, no artificial nails... that's what I get for working in a Catholic institution...

I don't think flip flops belong in any place of employment, unless you work at a pool or beach or something. I don't like when people go shopping in flip flops, something about their funky feet rubbing all over the floor drives me crazy, because let's face it, almost everyone who wears flip flops steps off of them once in awhile or they slip to the side.
