Daily Deals aren't prohibited last time I checked the posting guidelines.
The only acceptable ebay deals are eBay Daily Deal items (deals.ebay.com) or reputable online merchants such as buy.com, tigerdirect, bestbuy who also have ebay stores. If you have a general item like staples coupons, a link to a search is fine. Most private seller auctions are not allowed. If you're unsure if it can be posted, ask any mod.
Yeah, unless they're being paid off by Dell, I don't see why they keep deleting this topic.
Note to self: NEVER buy anymore Samsung products, no matter how good the price is.
Why slickdeals is awesome: I post a deal, it gets reposted 30 minutes later. I report the repost, and slickdeals warns me for "not doing my own work" when all the new poster did was post incomplete info and add links an hour after they blatantly stole my post. Obviously, this is the right way to encourage me to post more deals.
My post about the same deal got deleted by the mods and I was informed that it was posted earlier too but deleted. Hope this time it stays.
Now back to my question: Is this truly a good monitor? Yes, I have searched online but I cannot really find a reliable review. Any real users out there who have experience with this monitor? Thanks in advance.
I bought one a couple of weeks ago. The whole upgrade of this monitor costed quite a bit more than the monitor. First I needed to upgrade the graphic card, for $100. Then I found out my factory HP power supply is only rated at 300W, not enough for the graphic card. So that was another $60. But overall I am happy except the monitor stand. It wobbles and no height adjustments.
I actually brought a ShiMian 27" IPS awhile back from ebay. Be warned that you won't really receive much help if something actually does go wrong. I had a horrible experience.
My monitor worked for 3 days and then picture just disappeared in the middle of playing Diablo 3. I do IT work so I know how to fix things and troubleshoot. But I did not want to open it up since it might void any warranty it has.
First thing I did was connect another monitor to make sure it wasn't the cables or video card. And surely, it wasn't the power brick since it works with my other monitor, nor was it the video card since that works too. So I know it had to be the monitor. The seller seemed bent on blaming everything else like the brick or my video card. Even after I explained why. He would also only send 1 message every 1-2 days. After a week, I got so fed up with waiting for messages or him blaming other stuff. I escalated the ticket. I just wanted either a replacement or a refund. Seller won't budge. Surprisingly, ebay didn't back me up either, they ruled on seller's behalf. I ended up taking apart the monitor to fix it myself. Voiding any warranty, not that anyone would honor it anyway. It turned out the cable from the mainboard connecting to the screen itself somehow got disconnected. I managed to fix my own monitor and I'm lucky it wasn't dead capacitors or a dead mainboard, but if shit happens, it's all up to you.
