They're still available in some stores... clearance pricing is around the $800 range unless the store had it for $599 at the start of the thread.

OMS worked like a charm! Decided to go by 1 of the 3 Memphis locations today and take my chances. Found a guy in cameras that looked nice and asked him if he could help me find a camera in stock. I gave him the SKU and stood nearby as he looked it up. Sure enough it popped up on the screen. He pointed out where it said discontinued and that they had 0 in stock, but I noticed the price immediately - $599.99! I asked him to check nearby stores and he found 1 left at another Memphis location, but it was listed as $839.99. I asked if I could buy it there for the $599 price shown and pick it up at the other store and he said "Sure, I can do an OMS" and smiled. I've attached a copy of the receipt. For anyone still looking for this deal, don't give up! Thanks OP!!

The receipt is dated 02/12/13, which was yesterday's date?? Today is 02/13/13. I bought and picked up the camera yesterday.

Oh, and I'd be more than happy to upload more pics like a scan of the OMS order print out and the actual pick slip from Best Buy. The print out shows the order date of 02/12/13 (yesterday!!), the item description and the $599.99 price. The pick slip from Best Buy shows the date the item was picked from their inventory (yesterday - 02/12/13) and it shows the pick up date, also dated 02/12/13. I made them both "magically" appear by placing them on my scanner and sending them to my email address.
