what are advantage of 50 cal vs the 7.62 besides size? certain stacking configuration of ammo?
i mainly use 5.56. |

Just curious why you included the words GUN RELATED in your title ?
I would think it obvious, even to those rednecks everyone loves, that AMMO CANS are gun related. |

U guys buy this stuff?
I use to dermo/demilitarize and recycle thousands of cans after a shoot. The big cans good for storage were the 40mm Grenade rounds. Careful buying these though as I know it has to be spray painted over as it can be a federal offense. Don't remember which manual I read it from but I do recall it. Every can or crate I kept had to be clear of markings. Just FYI for those buying. |

So what are these cans good for? Just for storing extra ammo? Whats wrong with the box the ammo comes in? Sorry for newbie question.

These are metal with a rubber gasket. The lid closes tighlly, keeping moisture out and thuse keeping your ammo in good shape longer 'Keep yer powder dry y'all' :-) The standard cardboard boxes don't do much to protect the ammo against moisture et al.
Also, if SHTF, it's easier to grab a numbre of these then trying to grab all your small 50 round cardboard boxes. :-) The BOFH - - - - Some days you're the dog, some days your the hydrant.

In for 50 cal cans, these are great for storing anything I use them in my garage for small tools and nails and misc things in addition to using them in my safe for ammo
